About
I'm a software engineer from Portugal, in Amsterdam since 2024. For the last five years that has mostly meant backend systems in Go: marketplaces, EV charging, and a developer platform.
I like owning a system end to end, from the first design to the day it is boring in production. Side projects start from a pain point or from curiosity: a tool for orchestrating coding agents that my colleagues ended up adopting, a graph library for Go, a map of every public Go module.

A graph library for Go, in the spirit of NetworkX.
Dense integer node IDs, compressed sparse row storage, and metrics that run in parallel. Built for workloads that construct a graph once and then read it hard: simulations, network metrics, repeated traversals.

2.6 million modules and 9.4 million edges rebuilt from the public module index and proxy, analysed with gonx, and laid out with ForceAtlas2 into a galaxy you can search and click. The same data draws the top of this page.

Senior Software Engineer
TomTom Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Led TomTom's pay-as-you-go platform from prototype to production launch: a Go service where developers buy prepaid credits for TomTom's APIs, integrated with Adyen (3-D Secure) and SAP invoicing; now replacing the legacy billing system.
- Proactively designed and built a full-stack admin panel from scratch (Go, React, Entra ID SSO, RBAC), giving real-time visibility into orders, revenue, and customers, with automated refunds, credit management, and debugging tooling that replaced manual production intervention.
- Introduced an event-driven message-queue architecture (Azure Service Bus), a first in the business unit.
- Built an internal platform for orchestrating LLM agents (Claude Code): an agent dashboard, Jira/GitHub automation, and scheduled autonomous workflows, adopted across the engineering unit.

- Designed and implemented an event-driven system using Go, gRPC, Redpanda (Kafka-compatible), and GCP to enable anonymous payments for EV charging sessions in compliance with EU AFIR regulations.

Software Engineer
OLX Lisbon, Portugal
- Designed and built Go microservices on AWS for bulk advert posting and monetization for professional sellers across 3 countries, including a fully asynchronous ingestion API that, in load tests, cut processing time for 10,000 adverts from ~16 hours to 3 and drove error rates from 13% to effectively zero.
